Final Garment
Using the same pattern as my previous Flower Printed Dress i elaborated on it and made it longer at the back but still continuing with the short front. This works really nicely as a garment, it flows nicely and is fitted around the bodis area, giving it a nice structure. its is fashionable as i have used on trend colours and hemmed it with black to bring out the colours more. i used a zip opening on the back. Problems were that when i was hemming the bottom, the fabric was fraying so the hem binding was slipping off.
Next time i would remove the darts so that it doesn't interfere with the print.
The fabric was a thick printed chiffon, I used 2 and a half meters, £7 a metre and was from Green Street.

Trouser 3
This garment works well as it was a nice fit, with 2 extra seam lines down the back legs making them more fitted around the hips and thighs. They look very fashionable on and seem very practical to wear daily because of the comfortable fit, and i hemmed the legs with cuffs making the ankle area fitted also. I used a zip opening that runs trough the high waisted waistband. A problem was that when i was sewing both legs together, i tubed one leg inside the other and sewed the crotch area in the 'U' shape, but because i had the extra seams it was hard to get all the lines to meet correctly, but managed it in the end. next time i would improve these by not making them so high waisted, and make the pockets deeper.
The fabric was a Wool/Viscose mix, i used 2 metres, cost was £6 a metre and was from Aberkhan, in Liverpool.

Dress 3
This garment has to be my favourite so far, as i enjoyed experimenting with the open back and cutting on the bias. It works really well as a garment and looks very fashionable. I used a zip opening. this is the only garment I've made so far that i haven't encountered any problems, really easy to work with and enjoyed manipulating the darts so that they run through all the way down to the end of the dress. Next time i would improve the hemming around the zip area as it started to fray.
The fabric was a cotton mix, i used 2mtres and it is from John Lewis and was £8 a metre.

Skirt 3
I really enjoyed making this garment, as i really liked the fabric i didn't want to do anything that would take away from the print of the fabric. It works really well as a garment, and is fashionable, keeping to the short front long back style. The way i made this is having no seams, only part that the 4pannel skirt is connected by is the waistband. I used a zip opening, which i managed to find a good colour to match, and first proper invisible zip, as i used the right foot for my sewing machine. Problem was that i made the waistband too big, so the skirt ended up being very hipsterish. The fabric was printed chiffon, i used 2metres, £4.80 a metre and it is from myfabrics.com.

Trousers 2
As a garment it worked well because of the fabric, not the print. The fit was really nice as i drew up a pattern for it that was similar to a pair of trousers i have already. I would say that they look fashionable.
I used a zip opening on the centre front that runs up through the waistband and because it was a Jersey fabric they came on and off really easily. Attempting pockets for the first time was a problem as i got confused as to how there inserted without any sewing showing, but then look at a pair of trousers i had, and followed them, made it clear.
Next time, i would improve these by adding more seam lines and experimenting with hem cuffing the legs.
The fabric was a thick jersey, i used 2 metres, the cost was £6 a metre and was bought from A1 fabrics in Shepherds Bush.

Dress 2
As a garment it worked well in terms of shape but not fit, as it wasn't fitted enough around the waist area leaving gaps in the lower back. I wouldn't say this is fashionable, as it looks more like costume wear, however i do like the shape and will try this shape again in next dress,. I used a zip opening, on the back. Problems encountered were that the peter pan collar flared up on one side, giving it an uneven look. Next time i will try same shape, but try cutting it on a bias so i get more flow, ill also try a different zip style and dart manipulation.
The fabric was bright red Cotton, i dyed it a burlesque red. I used 2metres, the cost was £5.80 a metre and was bought from a shop outside of London.
