As a garment it worked well because of the fabric, not the print. The fit was really nice as i drew up a pattern for it that was similar to a pair of trousers i have already. I would say that they look fashionable.
I used a zip opening on the centre front that runs up through the waistband and because it was a Jersey fabric they came on and off really easily. Attempting pockets for the first time was a problem as i got confused as to how there inserted without any sewing showing, but then look at a pair of trousers i had, and followed them, made it clear.
Next time, i would improve these by adding more seam lines and experimenting with hem cuffing the legs.
The fabric was a thick jersey, i used 2 metres, the cost was £6 a metre and was bought from A1 fabrics in Shepherds Bush.
